Making this album was like therapy for me. In May 2023, I started recording the songs that would become “Walk You Home.” By October, my life had transformed in profound ways: I got engaged, adopted a stray dog on a ranch in Texas, and learned to surf. And I had 12 tracks that captured my life during that time. These songs helped me figure out things I was feeling and where I was holding back. They helped me pick out the thorns and hold them to the light, where I could let them go. I thought I was unable to commit myself to anything, too in my head to take a necessary leap of faith. I found out I was wrong. I hope the journey reflected in these songs resonates with you, and you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making it.
